Some brands have requirements around how much you need to spend, either to level up or to use certain discounts. These requirements can vary by brand, so it’s helpful to understand how they work.

How do Levels work?

You level up by earning coins through things like completing Challenges, referring friends, and making eligible purchases from a brand.

Redeeming your coins does not lower your Level.

Some brands also have a Spend Checkpoint, which means you need to spend a certain amount with that brand in addition to earning enough coins to reach the next Level.

If a brand uses a Spend Checkpoint, you need to meet both requirements to level up:

Not all brands use Spend Checkpoints, so this will depend on the brand.

Spend Checkpoints are calculated using your subtotal after discounts, but before tax and shipping.

Your coins and spend only start counting once you have created your TYB account and joined that brand in the app. Purchases or activity from before you joined the brand do not count toward your Level. Coins transferred from a duplicate account after an account merge also do not count toward your Level.

What are Minimum Purchase Requirements?

Some discounts have a minimum purchase requirement, which means your cart needs to reach a certain amount before you can use the discount.

With TYB’s dynamic minimum cart values, the minimum purchase requirement can change based on the discount you are using.

Smaller discounts require smaller carts, while larger discounts may require a higher cart total.

For example, with a smaller discount, you may only need to spend a small amount to use it. If you choose a larger discount, your cart may need to be higher to support that discount.

The app will show you the minimum cart amount required for the discount you are using, so you can see how much you need to spend before checking out. The brand’s minimum purchase requirement hasn’t changed, but this allows you to purchase a smaller cart without having to reach a higher requirement.
