The Role: As Mobile Tech Lead, you will own TYB's mobile strategy and execution, leading the development of our React Native applications while mentoring mobile engineers and driving technical excellence. You'll be responsible for both hands-on development and technical leadership, ensuring our mobile apps deliver exceptional user experiences while maintaining high performance standards.

This role is ideal for a senior engineer ready to take ownership of a critical product surface that drives user engagement and retention. You'll work closely with product, design, and backend teams to shape our mobile roadmap and ensure we're building the right features with the right architecture.

As Mobile Tech Lead at TYB you will:

• Lead mobile architecture decisions and establish best practices for React Native development
• Drive mobile roadmap planning with product and design teams
• Own mobile release cycles, including app store submissions and release management
• Implement critical mobile features while maintaining hands-on coding (60-70% of time)
• Mentor mobile engineers and conduct code reviews to ensure quality standards
• Optimize app performance, reduce bundle sizes, and improve startup times
• Establish mobile testing strategies including unit, integration, and E2E testing
• Manage mobile CI/CD pipelines and EAS build configurations
• Monitor mobile analytics, crash rates, and user feedback to drive improvements
• Coordinate with backend teams on API design and GraphQL schema evolution
• Champion mobile-first thinking across the organization
• Build reusable component libraries and establish mobile design system standards
